ASHLEY AND ANDREW | DIANA DALEY JEKYLL ISLAND PHOTOGRAPHER
October 19, 2009

Ashley sent me an email a few months back explaining that she wanted to do a Trash the Dress session. As a slightly more whimsical and artistic photographer, a little part of me jumps for joy when I get these calls. It's not at all about trashing a dress -- in fact, in this case (and most other cases too) we didn't destroy the dress or get it wet, or for that matter even terribly soiled. Okay, its no worse than the soiling you'd experience dragging the train of your dress around at an outdoor ceremony or reception. It is however, nice to have the freedom of working without many boundaries. I think this is the case for the clients as much as it is for me. We have more fun and well, let the images speak for themselves!

Ashley and Andrew were such a pleasure to work with -- y'all did whatever I asked and I think you have some breathtaking pictures as a result. Thank you for trusting my vision and sharing your love and light!

PIRATE FEST PARADE | DIANA DALEY TYBEE ISLAND AND SAVANNAH PHOTOGRAPHER
October 12, 2009

I braved the rain to endure another year at Tybee Island's Pirate Fest. Who doesn't love a good Pirate or Wench? Apparently lots of people because despite the torrential downpour in the middle of the parade, people stayed till the very last float made its way through. For more photos, be sure to join my Facebook page.

And the Best Hat Award goes to...... Ohhhh okay, no one's really looking at the first girl's hat, but I'm certainly in love with Bev's pink hat!

October 04, 2009

It's been absolutely perfect weather lately and I couldn't resist heading out to Skidaway Island today with my camera. It's been a while since I've visited some fo my favorite spots, but I love the serenity and peacefulness as soon as you cross the bridge.

Enjoy!

And of course, the mammoth spider I almost walked in to! Ickkk.

It was a tense drive from Savannah to Hilton Head Island last Saturday afternoon. I have to admit dealing with the rain storms has been a real pain this year and last weekends was intense. Not only was it raining buckets, it didn't look like it wanted to stop and just as I turned onto Highway 170 heading towards Bluffton -- it started to blow sideways. GREAT! Then, just as if fingers parted the clouds, rays of sunshine sprinkled across the sky and lead the way to a gorgeous afternoon wedding. It was nothing short of a miracle to avoid all those heavy raindrops and I couldn't have imagined a prettier celebration for a sweet couple! Ashley's Dad really summed it up best during his reception speech (forgive the terrible paraphrase) when he said he had always wished she would find a man that would put a spark in her eyes and smile on her face, but that most importantly the man would lookback at her with the same adoration and love. I think the pictures speak for themselves! Adorable - every last one of them.

And well you know it's agreat reception when the party ends in the pool! So much fun. Best wishes -- I'm so happy I could celebrate with you and your families.
