I spent Saturday afternoon with the families of Jessica and Mark in Richmond, Virginia for their fabulous wedding at Willow Oaks Country Club. I met up with Jessica at her parents home where she was having her makeup finished by Vamps & Vixens makeup artists. Meanwhile, a few miles away, Paige was helping me out with the guys getting ready.

Dee from Occassions Events met us Willow Oaks where she was busy with day off staging. Jessica got her veil pinned in and scooted off for a first look with Mark. She was anxious but radiant as ever. She has a beautiful smile that fills the room and its so sweet how Mark adores her. Can't you just feel the love. Such a sweet couple with a great sense of humor and fun all the way around from their dance down the aisle to their funky glow stick exit.

Thanks Jessica and Mark for letting us celebrate with you!

August 21, 2008

The Girl Effect is a missional work by the Nike Foundation and the NoVo Foundation. Its goal is to "create opportunities for girls, and the world."

What are you doing to change the world, one person at a time?

HAPPY MONDAY!
August 18, 2008

Just a picture today from our funny beagle, Bozzie! She won't look at the camera anymore. I think its the equivalent of your kids (well she is LIKE a kiddo to us) running and hiding when you get the camera out. But she was hot and all tired out when I turned the camera on her and was too lazy to run away.

JULIA + NOAH |SAVANNAH GA
August 05, 2008

View Proof Gallery Here

Last Saturday I was back in action in my hometown of Savannah, Georgia. I heard there had been 108F heat advisories all week. That could only mean one thing in Savannah ... it's AUGUST! Storms had rolled in on Friday evening and I was worried about what the weather was going to be like on Saturday. Believe it or not, the skies opened up into the bluest fields with wonderful white fluffy clouds by midday! I know they say rain is good luck on your wedding day, but its still rain.

Julia was finishing up her makeup when we arrived at the gorgeous River Street Inn. The Inn has bright, open rooms with floor to ceiling windows that make great window light.

I always gravitate immediately to the dress and shoes. Well... what gal doesn't love shoes! These are some of my favorites. Sexy and look pretty comfy!

As we started making our way outside to head for the church, we noticed this seatee in the hallway. I love shooting in Savannah's Inns because they have some really nice accents in the decor. We spent a few minutes doing some nice low light portraits. Here is my favorite:

Then we snuck outside to the alley. Did I mention Julia was a radiantly beautiful bride.

Off to the church, the amazing Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. A few quick details as everyone is arriving. Hydrangeas have been in almost all of my weddings this year. It doesn't get any more Southern than that!

After a beautiful mass ceremony, we finished some quick family portraits in the cathedral and moved outside for more casual pictures. It's all about the interaction! The girls all look beautiful.

Congratulations Julia & Noah!

JUST A PEEK | JULIA AND NOAH
August 04, 2008

Just a quick peek of Julia and Noah's Savannah wedding at the gorgeous Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. We got so lucky with the weather and it not raining. We'll I'm not sure lucky is the right word because it was still in the feels like 108 degrees category! It was hot and VERY humid which you can always expect from a midday wedding in August in Savannah.

Just two photos for now... check back tomorrow for more photos and a slideshow.
