SHANNON + MATT :: SAVANNAH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
July 04, 2010

The first thing you notice about Shannon and Matt are how perfectly smitten in love they are with each other. They are so amazingly adorable and that shined through all day in their gorgeous Savannah Forsyth Park destination wedding. It was a perfect day and I had the pleasure of shooting with my friend Dylan and working with the talented ladies at Tricia Huddas Weddings and Events . Make sure you check out his fabulous photography at Dylan Wilson Weddings.

The girls were getting ready at the Avia near Ellis Square downtown. Red velvet sofa ... I mean seriously, say no more!

Divine shoes. Seriously LOVE! I couldn't resist sharing a shoe shot with a lovely Colin Douglas Gray photo. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Y'all know this is my favorite, must have shot of the day ... that moment of bliss just after the ceremony has ended and all you want to do is steal another private kiss.

We snuck away for some portraits.

Stunning. Beautiful.

I'm glad I could be there to share your day with you. Congrats!

EILEEN + WILL :: TYBEE ISLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
June 22, 2010

I felt incredibly blessed enough to have back to back Tybee Island weddings, but coupled that with back to back stunning brides, grooms and details.  What more could a girl want, right?  Okay, a venue with a story helps! I instantly fell in love with the authentic, vintage early 1900s beach house and this fabulous rustic kitchen.  I also learned, this was the house that was used in the Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear film, "The Last Song."  How fun!  The kitchen was my favorite room -- and not just because it had the best air conditioning in the house!

Stunning flowers that smelled so good!

They had really cute details like these vintage painted wooden fans and some yummy finger foods.  Almost too pretty to eat. Okay, that's never a problem!

Sadly, a summer thunderstorm re-arranged their plans for a beach ceremony and pushed them inside. Everyone had a great attitude about it and while it was "Plan B", it was most certainly intimate and memorable. Eileen was surrounded by her sister's helping her with her birdcage veil, the perfect accent to this whimsy vintage and beachy dress.

We got lucky and the storm passed in time for us to make some really fun portraits along the South end of the beach.  LOVE these!

Congrats Eileen and Will. I'm glad I could celebrate alongside your family and friends.

KRISTY + TRAVIS :: TYBEE ISLAND WEDDING
June 20, 2010

View and Order Prints Online Here

Makeup :: Dollface by Jules

Hair :: Ony Salon

Officiant :: Rev. Stephen Schulte

Pre Ceremony Location :: Fort Pulaski NPS

Ceremony Location :: North Beach on Tybee Island

I've fallen behind on blogging lately, but not for a shortage of beautiful Savannah destination weddings and really wonderful couples.  I knew Kristy was going to be my kind of girl when she was explaining her wedding plans to me -- fun, intimate and laid back. We had some tricky weather to deal with but God blessed us with the exact perfect timing of mildly overcast (albeit humid as all craziness) skies between two pretty ugly thunderstorms. That's really just the cards you have to play when planning to shoot outdoors on the coast in the Summertime. Thankfully, Kristy and Travis were open to moving swiftly into Plan B and shooting portraits beforehand at Fort Pulaski where we had some partial cover in case the bottom opened up on us. Love, love LOVE how stunning Kristy is in this location. And with all that humidity, mad kudos go to Tiff and Jules on hair and makeup that goes the distance even in Coastal Georgia.

I say laughter is the best medicine! Thanks for having a really greta spirit through some tough weather circumstances. It made everything better.

Bella brought her own version of stunning! What a cutie and such a poser. How can you not love those sparkling blue eyes!

And then off to the beach to meet the Rev. Schulte for a charming, intimate but very beautiful sunset ceremony.

One of my favorite details of the year has been this locket with Kristy's parents' pictures.

Congrats Kristy, Travis and Bella! I'm so glad I could be a part of your special day.

CAYLEE + JOEL :: REIDSVILLE GA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
May 10, 2010

I've been quietly looking forward to Caylee and Joel's wedding ever since I first met Caylee and her Mom in Statesboro last fall. Sometimes you just know. And I knew they would have a great celebration. A great celebration requires great families, great food, great music, a whole lotta dancin' and more than anything just a whole lot of genuine love. You could just feel the love!

I was equally blessed to have my friend Erin O'Neil from Greenville, SC help me shoot this wedding.

BELINDA + NATE :: SAVANNAH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
May 04, 2010

The first thing you notice about Belinda is that she never stops smiling. Her light is infectious and it's obvious Nate is smitten with her. Adorable barely begins to describe them. Their Chippewa Square wedding had all the Savannah charm you'd expect. The pedestrian crowds started gathering as Belinda was sneaking through the street, trying to stay out of Nate's sight as the ceremony began. We Savannahian's don't seem to mind wandering up, offering a congratzie and tipping our beer filled Dixie cup to a beautiful bride and groom.

We narrowly avoided some raindrops ducking into porches for some relaxed, fun portraits before slipping back into Bryson Hall. It was a great night filled with laughter, dancing and good times!
